What would cause this congregation?

Tuna Fish!

Yes, my husband was making tuna fish this evening.  What is it about tuna fish that causes otherwise normal cats to turn into vultures?

I wish I could have taken a video of it for you.  They really are like vultures.  They circle around the kitchen meowing loudly.  They do not quit meowing until they are quite certain they will not get anymore. 

What really amazes me is that they know there is tuna fish the moment the can is opened.  It is not a delayed reaction!  It is instantaneous!

Oh well, such is life.  They can be forgiven.  They do have good qualities.  Morris, the one who was meowing the loudest is now contentedly sitting beside me purring.  He’s been around for 14 years.  I think I’ll keep him a little while longer!

Busy, Busy, Busy

I thought Labor Day was supposed to be a time to rest. I thought Labor Day was supposed to be a time to take a break from work. Well, it has not been for our family this weekend.

We have been busy, busy, busy!!!!

You could say busy as a beaver


Or busy as a bee

But either way you put it, we have been busy!

Before we could sell the camper, we had to take all of our stuff out of it. Then we had to clean it inside & out. That was no easy task in 90 degree heat.

As if that wasn’t enough, we decided to have a yard sale this Saturday. We have been going through the spare bedroom, our son’s room, the attic & the storage shed. And we are still not done. I haven’t finished going through the kitchen. We also haven’t gone through our storage unit at the mini storage. Who knew you could have so much stuff?!?!?!

We have needed to do this for several years. We had a booth at an antique mall a couple of years ago. We have all that stuff to sell. We haven’t gotten rid of any of our son’s toys in a while. I know toys usually don’t sell well at a yard sale, so I have tried to price them low. Then there is the normal household stuff you collect through the years. So, it should be a good sale.

We are going to have the yard sale at our office in town. It is a good location on a busy highway. So, if you are local, email me and I will give you the address. I’ll make you a real good deal on some real “treasures”.
