WLWed: Thanksgiving Edition

I am going to do something a little different for this Weight Loss Wednesday post…especially since this will double as my Thanksgiving Day post.

When I think of giving thanks, there is always a verse that stands out to me…

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.
           His love endures forever.  Psalm 136:1

Giving thanks isn’t about how we feel. 

We don’t give thanks because we feel it.

We give thanks because God is good.

He is good in the abundant times.

He is good in the lean times.

He is good in the difficult times.

He is good in the happy times.

He is good when the cupboard is full.

He is good when the cupboard is bare.

He is good during times of peace.

He is good during times of strife.

No matter the time, God is good.

And for that we should give thanks.

Dear Lord, we thank You for your goodness.  Thank You for your love, your compassion, your mercy.  Forgive us for those times when we take your goodness for granted or we doubt it.  Help us to walk with You day in and day out.  We love You and we praise You.  In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

    Thanks for stopping by!  Your weight loss journey is great to see and, as usual, you do a great job at saying just the right thing.  It's so true about eating right and feeling better….do it now OR do it later but it feels so much better to get a start on it.  I wish you much success.  Hope your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
