Welcome to Weight Loss Wednesday!

This week's topic is….

What keeps you going when you want to quit?  Is it a friend who encourages you?  A picure of yourself that you despise?  A dress that you want to wear someday?  Or a scripture that inspires you?

 

 

 

 


Since this is my blog & I can be completely honest, I have to tell you…

I strongly dislike working out!

Growing up I was always a bookworm nerdy kind of kid.  I would much rather be inside curled up with a good book than outside playing.  I was always the last girl to get picked for any team in PE class.  I never played any sports in high school. 

Recently this has starting plaguing my weight loss journey.  As much as I usually enjoy walking as a form of exercise, it has started to really drain me.  I have no desire to go walking.  And when I do go, I don't have the stamina to walk for very long. 

To be completely honest, I'd really rather give up on the whole working out thing. 

I know I can't.  I know that in order to lose weight, I need to be moving more. 

And YOU motivate me to keep going.  Knowing that every week I have to come report to you how I am doing with my weight loss journey keeps me accountable.  If it weren't for YOU, I'm afraid I probably would have given up a long time ago.

But we all know what????

 

Quitting is not an option!

 

So I've started looking for other workouts.  I went through the fitness programs on Netflix and picked out several to try.  As I tried to find one I could do this morning, I was reminded of how uncoordinated I am.  Finally on the 3rd try, I found one I could partially do…without killing myself.

Now for some exciting news…

I lost 3.8 lbs!!!!

That is a total of 19.4 lbs lost. 

And even more exciting?!?!

I passed my 10% goal!!!!!

Very exciting!!!

A great big thank YOU for being my motivation!

  3. Awesome job!!! How great does that 10% feel??!!! I know how encouraging that goal feels!
    Keep up the great work, and the search for the "perfect" workout…I know I have a tough time finding exercise I actually enjoy. Bike riding has become a choice because it is something I do with the whole family(however it would be more fun if my bike seat didn't hurt my backside) ;)
