This week we're sharing recipes. What is a favorite recipe that you've found that is good for you? It can be anything…dessert, entree or side dish. I'm always looking for new recipe. I can't wait to hear about it!

Remember last week's motto?
Let's say it again…
Quitting is not an option!
I have had to remember those options over and over again…especially tonight when I got on the scale and had only lost .2 lbs. But at least that is a loss. I don't think that really accurately affects my losses. I feel like I have actually lost more. My clothes are fitting so much better. So I'll give it time and see what happens.
Now on to this week's topic…a recipe.
An unexpected side benefit has happened on my weight loss journey. I am cooking more.
Let me explain the significance of this. I have unashamedly confessed before that I am a fish out of water in the kitchen. Cooking has never come easy for me. I usually just give up and end up cooking something pre-done.
That is rapidly changing. In my quest to eat healthy, I am overcoming my fear of the kitchen. I would rather eat well than eat quick. I am also finding recipes that the whole family loves. The following, which came from E-mealz is one of those…
Hamburger Pie
- 1 c & 2 T Heart Smart Bisquick
- 1/4 c FF milk
- 2 T Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 t minced garlic
- 1/2 c FF egg substitute
- 1 onion finely chopped (I only use 1/2 onion)
- 1 c RF sharp cheddar cheese
Crust – Mix 1 c Bisquick & FF milk until soft dough forms. Transfer to a floured surface and knead 5 timers. Roll into a 6"round and place in a sprayed 9" pie pan pressing into pan & up sides.
Filling – Brown beef, onion, Worcestershire Sauce & garlic. Stir in 2 T Bisquick; remove & cool. Mix egg sub & cheese. Spoon beef mix onto crust and top with cheese mixture.
Bake for 30 mins @ 375.
The official recipe splits it into 6 servings at 6 pp for the Weight Watcher's plan. I usually end up splitting it into 8 servings. It pairs nicely with a salad or fruit. I'm sorry I don't know what the actual calories are.
So what is your favorite weight loss recipe? Why don't you link up for Weight Loss Wednesday and share?
Write a blog post it, referencing this post. Then link up with Mr. Linky below. Please know, though, that I reserve the right to delete any link that does not conform to the spirit of Weight Loss Wednesday. You can also join us on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #wlwed.
I seem to be getting mixed results for a weekly Weight Loss Wednesday topic. Do you really enjoy them or not? While we're discussing it, let's just make next week an open topic. I hope to see you then!
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

I like the weekly topics. They give me something to focus on besides a number on the scale.
Thanks Kris! That's such a great point. It shouldn't be all about the number on the scale.
I don't have a recipe in hand — just came by to visit. I have found some delicous Weight Watcher recipes that I have thoroughly enjoyed! Hey, the .2 pounds is still a loss. I am trying to get back on track this week.
Love & hugs to you!
Beth
Beth, I'm so glad you came by to visit! WW definitely has some great recipes. I hope you're able to get back on track this week. Blessings to you my friend!

I didn't follow the topic because I'm a rebel like that. I think I have had the recipe you shared however, very yummy!
Well there always has to be a rebel in the crowd
Thank you for stopping by sweet Chelle!

Yummy! That sounds delish, Alicia! :)
Thanks, Lori! It is delicous. You'll have to let me know how it goes if you make it!
I'm new to your blog and this "linky" but I want to say that I like having the topic for the same reason as Kris. It's especially nice if you don't have a large loss to report and makes the posts more interesting to read. My vote is to definitely keep them but make them optional for rebels like Chelle (LOL).
Welcome Susan! It's so nice to "meet" you! I'm glad you like the topics. I'll keep them just for you
Blessings to you my new friend!
It seems like you have a lot of participation? I do not cook either but glad you are getting started with cooking
Yes Kim, I have been blessed with a lot of participation. It's been great meeting others on the same journey. So glad you stopped by today my friend!

First, Snowflake, I always hesitate to comment on your weight loss Wednesdays – although I may have to join in on your weight loss Wednesdays – because blogging has added pounds – how does it do that?
You do know I think which are doing is 7600 shades full of awesome right!? And remember that it's not the pounds that matter – it's NOT the pounds that matters – it's the inches. As a former personal trainer I know how linked women can be to the number on the scale – and it isn't the number on the scale that matters – it's all about the inches. I heart everything that you write – and I'm going to try the hamburger pie thing or whatever – and I don't cook – the only recipes I usually follow are the ones by Rachel at Southern Fairytale – but I trust you
God bless and keep you Snowflake!
